Hi! I’m Sydney. I’m a stay and home mom and of course one of your CrossFit coaches! I started CrossFit in 2018 and have coached for almost 2 years!
Why did you start CrossFit?
I had heard about CrossFit and was always interested in doing it, but I was too nervous to try it out. I was at a gym and had a trainer that started doing CrossFit style workouts with me. The gym closed down and I was forced to step out of my comfort zone and try CrossFit. So glad I did!!
What motivates you? / What motivated you to become a CrossFit coach?
Staying active and fit is what motivates me. I like to push my body to see what it can do. I wanted to coach because I love CrossFit and I like motivating people to push themselves.
What's the most rewarding thing about coaching? Seeing people accomplish their goals and doing something they didn’t think they could do!
Favorite CrossFit movement? Burpees of course! Maybe burpee box jump overs!!
Favorite CrossFit WOD? DT is always a good one. My favorite type of WODs are ones that I can just zone out on and keep moving.
What's a misconception about CrossFit? That you’ll get injured.
Favorite thing about CrossFit Puyallup? The environment!
What do you like doing outside of the gym? Hmmm… I just realized I don’t have any hobbies except for CrossFit!
